Minutes of the HACTAC September 15, 2021

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.
Minutes:
A motion was made by Dick and second by Candace to accept the June minutes as presented. Motion passed.
Town Reports:
Bloomfield: No report
East Hartford: Brenda reported that not much has changed lately. The BOE meetings are being covered again. Summer Concerts were covered.
Hartford: Gil reported that Hartford is busy responding to the two items in Docket 21-07-26; written comments due Friday Sept 17 and interrogatories due Sept 20. Station hours may change based on what Gov Lamont says.
Simsbury: Karen reported things at the station are slow.
West Hartford: Roger reported that town council and BOE meetings are in person and being covered. Working on Candidate profiles and debates, police and town employee training videos and a mental health forum. Working on getting cameras in the fields at the high schools.
Windsor: Charles reported that they are working on PURA filings for Docket 21-07-26. Partnering with the BOE to cover sports and meetings, the additional funds will be helpful to offset the loss of subscribers. Free 6-week after school program for middle schoolers is starting on Sept 28; with three sessions per school year. No studio productions yet because of Covid increase, but still doing Zoom and field recordings. Partnerships are a big priority for the income.
COMCAST: Patricia was able to get her Comcast issue resolved though they were not that helpful. Nicole Jackson explained her issue and was instructed to contact Matt Skane.
Treasurer’s Report: Charles reported working capital is $5,027.96. Low interest on the CDs, with a total of $11,139.63.
See Attached. A motion was made by Patricia and second by Roger to accept the August Treasurer’s report subject to audit. Motion passed.
Chairman’s Report: Received three letters regarding Comcast/Xfinity channel changes.
Committee Reports:
Frontier/State Advisory Council: No report
Old Business: Most members are happy staying with Zoom meetings for now and meet every other month unless something pressing comes up.
New Business: Docket 21-07-28 was brought up, but there is nothing to report at this time.
