Town Reports:

Bloomfield: Alan reported that it has been a year and a half since BATV moved into the BOE space. Comcast and Eversource had 90% of the polls installed in June and connected to the station, but internet connection is still needed. One last pole was installed today November 18th but it still needs a line. $30,000 was paid 1½ years ago. Dick suggested BATV send a letter to HACTAC and copy PURA. Zenobia added that Howard does not get help from the town of Bloomfield and they should also be copied. For the last 6 months Howard has worked with the BOE to create Covid PSAs. The satellite dishes are being used and slowly things are getting back to normal.

East Hartford: Brenda reported that things are pretty much the same as last month. Most town meetings are Zoom meetings. The BOE has had an in-person meeting. There are some studio recordings being done by appointment.

Hartford:  No report

Simsbury: Dick reported that the town hall is closed except for appointments. Karen mentioned the American Legion donated $30,000 to SCTV in appreciation of their continuing coverage of events and support of veteran’s activities.

West Hartford: Jen sent a report with Candace that mentioned a virtual Senior Center concert series has been created, 10 am to noon time slots on Tuesdays and Thursdays are for Senior programming. The connectivity for covering High school sports has been done with Yankee Ingenuity. All the swim meets were covered. Lots of town meetings, election coverage, PSAs, voting, debates, and election night coverage have all been done. Roger added that live BOE in-person meetings have been done in the auditorium with no public in attendance.

Windsor: Charles reported that Jenny reopened the station on Oct 6 with precautions in place. The studio is by appointment only. Field equipment can go out. Most shows are by Zoom. WinTV has partnered with the high school for sports coverage. PEGPETIA has been completed.
