Comcast Cable is the franchisee for the Hartford area cable system. There are 6 towns in the system - Bloomfield, East Hartford, Hartford Simsbury, West Hartford and Windsor.

As of August 2004 Comcast had a basic cable charge of $10/month which brought subscribers at that rate 21 channels of programming. Expanded tier rate was $42.65 for 66 channels.

In Connecticut - Comcast owns 12 of the 27 DPUC listed cable TV franchises.

The Hartford franchise agreement will be in place until November 30, 2012, rates for the services may change as the company goes through their process of adjusting for costs and complying with any DPUC regulation that may apply.
